Asbury Park Oysterfest 2016: Something for Everyone!

For us locals, September is our chance to get out and explore what makes Asbury Park so great. This time of year is one of the reasons why locals love Asbury Park. Celebrate “local summer” with us from Friday, September 9 to Sunday, September 11 with the Asbury Park Chamber of Commerce’s annual Oysterfest! Here are a few things you should know along with details on activities.

Oysterfest takes place in the parking lot at the intersection of Cookman Ave. & Asbury Ave., adjacent to the Asbury Park Casino. Admission is $3 for adults and FREE for children 12 years and younger. On-street parking will be available surrounding the parking lot. There will also be a special spot for bike parking on festival grounds. Dogs are also welcome!

Here are the times and dates of Oysterfest:

Friday, Sep. 9: 5 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Saturday, Sep. 10: 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Sunday, Sep. 11: 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Tony’s Clam Bar will be offering clams and oysters to patrons at this year’s Oysterfest. You’ll also have opportunities to sample offering from restaurants outside of the area, including Tiger’s Tale of Princeton, Ike’s Famous Crab Cakes of Ocean City, and more!

A variety of fall beers from Blue Point Brewery will be available, along with Budweiser and Bud Light. For wine, you will be able to select from Pinot Grigio, Sangiovese, and Prosecco.

Over 50 local vendors will be selling crafts, paintings, and special novelty items during Oysterfest. You’ll also get to enjoy live music from local bands.


New for This Year: Games & Amusements

Amusement

Step right up and play to get a chance to win some prizes. Some of the amusements you’ll find include Frog Bog, Crazy Can, Darts, Hoop Shot, and more.
