Family Fun in Asbury Park


With Asbury Park’s eclectic style, there is certainly something for everyone here. The nightlife is roaring, whether it’s a live show at The Stone Pony or a few drinks at Watermark, there’s never a dull moment. However, the kid-life is even cooler than the adult life! AP is filled with family fun on every corner. Check out our list below to see where to take your kids this summer.

Asbury Park Pedal Boats

Located on Wesley Lake bordering Asbury Park and Ocean Grove are the Asbury Park Pedal Boats. Guests can choose a boat that looks like a swan, a dragon, a pelican, or a pink flamingo and ride along the lake for a half hour. One night, you could maybe leave the kids at home and take a romantic swan ride during the sunset on Nina, the elegant black swan. The rate is $20 for two adults and one child.



Asbury Splash Park

Bring your kids to Asbury Splash Park, a beachside playground filled with fun water fountains. The padded grounds create an extra safe environment for everyone to run around and play. You can also have the park host your child’s next birthday party. Prices are as follows: $9 (children), $5 (adults), and $20 (family pass: two adults and two children).



Asbury Eighteen

The Asbury Eighteen is an 18-hole mini golf course is sure to be something everyone in your family will love. Miniature golf is basically a Jersey shore staple. Whether you are hosting a private party there or just enjoying a round of golf, either way it’s a great outdoor activity for a summer night. Prices are as follows: $6 (children), $7 (seniors), and $8 (adults).



Silverball Museum Arcade

This is not your typical museum. The Silverball Museum Arcade has about 200 games from pinball and air hockey to skee ball and other classic arcade games. No quarters necessary! All you need to do is pay for admission and enjoy playing any game you want. Prices are as follows: $7.50 (half hour pass), $10 (1 hour pass), and $25 (all day pass).



Beach Bonfires

The warm weather calls for beach bonfires. It’s almost mandatory when you think about it. Well, not really but what sounds better than a bonfire on the beach during a warm summer night? Nothing. During the month of May, the bonfires will be held every Friday at 8 p.m. The dates and times for the following months will be announced soon.



Free Movie Fridays

The Paramount Theatre will be showing all different movies throughout the summer for free. Check out the list below for the May schedule and head to for future shows.
